I have experienced that Vista (or the bios) occasionally sends the signal to
the wrong output, so it sounds plausible that something isn't like it should
be...

For the record, conntest output for the screen connected to the output marked
"1", "2" and no screen.

Can I help testing something? Or measure what is connected and what isn't?

Have you arranged access to a splitter cable, or are you waiting for someone to
