hi everybody, i am at time playing with my gentoo linux 1.4 (kernel 2.4.19r9) to get packet writing working. First of all i had to modify the patch so that it can be applied to my kernel sources (there are a lot of gentoo patches). I have had to rewrite a user->nice call to something like set_user_nice (if someone has the same problem). So i got my module pktcdvd working. I have also enabled ide-scsi emulation. So I've triied to use pktcdvd without ide-scsi - and it worked nearly fine. Nearly means: I can mount my cdrw with an udf filesystem - read from it - write to it - but then i'll try to unmount it an get an: elevator returned crap (-10...) kernel BUG at ll_rw_blk.c:946! and after that my kupdated crashes So i've though this is because i use it without the scsi emulation: So I'Ve done the same game again with scsi-emulation enabled. Then: I can mount - i can read - i am triing to write -> and there happens the same thing as with ide unmount. I now have really no idea how to solve this problem, can anyone help ? Do you need more details ? mfG Wolfi
