If it helps I can do a failing boot again to get a complete Xorg.0.log and upload it somewhere.
You probably want to have a look at dmesg (the kernel log). If you do `dmesg | grep -i 'nvidia|nouveau'`, does it show anything particularly interesting?
How can I see the dmesg from the last boot? Now I am running kernel 4.4.74-18.20 and it runs somehow (except that the boot process needs approx. 3 times as long as with 42.1) and dmesg shows everything normal, I think Only when I boot with the latest kernel it does not work. I booted again with the latest kernel, went to console and had several dmesg messages about "disagrees about version of symbol module_layout", but was not able to save those messages to a file dmesg | grep -i 'nvidia|nouveau' >> save.txt did not work :-( -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona https://www.patreon.com/danielbauer http://www.daniel-bauer.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
