This only seems to happen on my Dell XPS laptop (laptop #2 below) when running libreoffice writer. It has happened a few times, and this time I was finally able to get some information that may help troubleshoot it, but I really don't know where to begin.
When I am in the middle of writing something in libreoffice writer, all of a sudden the screen and keyboard will freeze and everything will become completely unresponsive. If I sit there, and don't touch anything, it seems do just do the same. Usually after a couple of minutes I try to hit ctrl-alt-f1 to go to a terminal, but that doesn't do anything because the keyboard is unresponsive.
I also hit alt-f2 to try and reset the plasma display, but that doesn't seem to do anything either.
Then all of a sudden KDE resets on its own, and I go back to the sddm login screen.
Here is my journalctl kernel set of messages for the moment of the fault at 08:45:13:

So the question is, do I need to go and file a new bug report as they suggested, or is there anything that anyone here can see that would just indicate I can make some kind of change in settings?

Just to elaborate a little, I am pretty certain this is a problem with libreoffice writer, as the crash only seems to happen when I open up writer and begin using it. -- George Box: 42.2 | KDE Plasma 5.8 | AMD Phenom IIX4 | 64 | 32GB Laptop #1: 42.2 | KDE Plasma 5.8 | AMD FX 7TH GEN | 64 | 32GB Laptop #2: 42.2 | KDE Plasma 5.8 | Core i5 | 64 | 8GB -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
