I lost the original mail, so I reply here. The system should help users to do the right thing. If you don't have a second Linux, this is a non-issue. If you install a second Linux system, the installer should detect that and warn that you need to be careful when hibernating and suggest to create one swap per install. If you boot and another Linux is currently using the swap partition for hibernate data, then mounting the swap should fail with and a useful error message should be displayed.
