Hmm. I know a couple of people who have their wrist-watches set to UTC. They perform the conversion to local time 'in their head'. What they have in common is that they are aviators. It works for them, so I don't see why it shouldn't work for other use-cases :-) Personally I'd prefer to have a app on my phone, which I use as a timepiece rather than something bolted to my body, that supports multiple time zones.
