Open a terminal and check volume levels with "alsamixer".

Alsamixer shows Master volume 100<>100, for Card: Pulseaudio
Chip: PulseAudio

Press F6, AlsaMixer always shows 100 on PulseAudio

Ah, yes. A few more options when I select Xonar D1, but none of them
affects the output. :-(
