Anyone have any success getting tribler installed on os13.1?
Their website has instructions for a debian install, like on Ubuntu but I don't know how to take it from there to my system.
Thanks, Fred
The problem appears to be that Tribler requires that openssl be compiled with support for elliptic curve cryptography. Opensuse and Fedora compile their packages without EC support. See: https://github.com/Tribler/tribler/issues/893 Apparently somebody's lawyers decided EC was patented. Ubuntu does provide EC support. Perhaps they have different lawyers. Perhaps the patents expired and the appropriate people at opensuse never noticed. I ended up running Ubuntu in a VM just so I can run tribler.
