everybody have to know burned optical disks are not reliable. Many last forever, but some do verify and are bad some minutes after that.
USB flash card are a bit better, at least the booting ones (do not have to be mounted/umounted)
but many installs fail because somewhere a bit is wrong, and this nobody can do anything - I suspect it may often come from the reader and the writer being misaligned, but it's just a guess.
so if ever an install fail, try with an other disk... and pray :-)
