Hi I have a csv file which imports fine into calc, but when I open by importing it into base, I cannot edit the resultant db. I cannot add records nor fields. All options are greyed out.
Hi It may be permissions. I have only r (it's a cifs share) on the csv. However even if I download it (it then becomes rw for me) I still get the same greyed out menus. root does not have permission to change the files so I can't try the suggestion. Thanks, L x
I couldn't find anything that did an import of a CSV to a DB. I saw an option to attach to an existing database, and offered the option of attaching to a spreadsheet, but that option clearly said it would open it READ ONLY. Once it did that, I could use the DB for queries and such but I couldn't change anything. I could close the DB, then update the spread sheet in calc, then re-open the DB and see my changes. Or perhaps I missed an actual IMPORT option? How did you actually do the import? -- Explain again the part about rm -rf / -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
