Tell me about it. I'm writing my own network handling scripts. I'm getting tired of typing in config commands with 'ip' to bring up interfaces. All the 'if'-X scripts claim things are handled by something else which isn't handling them. I may be close to having a booting system again, but keeping fingers crossed.
