I recently bought a USB headset to use with my notebook computer. However, even though it is configured properly and tests OK, I cannot get any app to send sound to it. It is configured as "Index 0", in Yast Sound, to make it the default audio device, but I cannot get any app to use it. Any ideas? Is pulseaudio enabled and running correctly ? does the system has a different sound output other than the USB headset that is working ? Pulseaudio is enabled, but what else is there to check? I don't think you need to do anything in *YaST*. I use USB headset and speakers all the time... you just go to your DE's sound-preferences and select the output; PulseAudio does all the mechanics. In GNOME3 / GNOME-Shell this is right-click volume-icon, select "Sound Settings". Look at the "Output" tab. -- Adam Tauno Williams GPG D95ED383 Systems Administrator, Python Developer, LPI / NCLA -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
