a zypper up of an 11.4 system rendered my system unbootable; the root filesystem (/dev/rd/c0d0p2 DAC960 controller) didn't appear after the update. So I decided this was a good time to bring the system all the way up to 12.2 and maybe that would bring thing up... No dice still, so I tested with a system rescue, the actual filesystem IS intact. It just appears the udev isn't doing the right thing in the initrd. How do I fix the initrd?
