Just a quick question about using yast vs zypper for installing software... I usually use yast2 to install software because I like the graphical interface. I noticed that if there is a dependency conflict yast will give a graphic popup with choices on how to resolve the conflict. The only issue I have with Yast is that I can't select, copy, and paste in order to troubleshoot if there is a problem. But I can do that in a konsole, so I am wanting to get more familiar with zypper. So the question is, does zypper analyze and prompt for choices if you try and install something and there is a dependency conflict? Or do you have to know in advance what the dependencies are and do all that manually? -- G.O.
