Using OpenSUSE 12.1 and KDE 4.7 on a 32bit system. I haven't tested this on my other machines that run 64bit with KDE 4.8. I just noticed that on this computer, which has been fully indexed by nepomuk and strigi, it does not return any odt file extensions, even if I am searching in the same directory and I can see the file that I am searching right there in front of me. Apparently there are some bugs in nepomuk/strigi similar to this that other folks have experienced on other platforms, as I noticed on bug reports. Certainly as they improve nepomuk and strigi I am sure that these will be great indexing platforms. So my question is, does anyone out there use a different indexing program? If so, what have you experienced with it? I am intersted in people's opinions here. Indexing files and their contents for rapid search is certainly very helpful for the work I am trying to do.
