If you are using vb, you should disable the option of booting guest from CD, but only enabled should be the boot from hard disk, which usually is found in the Guest Operating System -> Settings -> System(/or somewhere), check out somewhere and there should be a 'tick' (checkmark) only with the option of 'Hard disk' in booting. That's in the bios no? What I want to say is 'boot from vdi'. At the moment whatever it is, is set to 'boot from the iso you used to install it'. It's like installing from a dvd and forgetting to take the dvd out of the drive before the next boot.
