Besides rules about rude behavior, there is one that we consider very important and it is written on the top of: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_list_netiquette
"It is pointless to post an email that only warns about posting style ..."
It was created to make good people aware that good intention to keep order on the list actually undercuts our efforts to have more people using openSUSE, and so far I can say that works with them.
The only remain problem are few that don't read rules, but assume that their opinion should be rule for other.
Perhaps we should add when answering problem posts and/or requests for help that further discussion is dependent upon the op adopting the list_netiquette. After all, when visiting someone's house you do not smoke if they don't allow it, at least you shouldn't if you expect to return. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
