Running opensuse 11.3 with KDE 4.5.95 (4.6 RC2). Latest Pidgin seems to die upon invocation. Strace ends with 10/usr/bin/pidgin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libgstreamer-0.10.so.0: undefined symbol: g_error_get_type libgstreamer-0.10.so.0 that I have was from pacman Version 0.10.30-99.pm.1003.7-x86_64 The only way I could get it to work is to downgrade to version 0.10.29-1.7-x86_64 From Opensuse 11.3-0ss That allowed Pidgin to run, without any obvious side effects, (so far).
