When I looked into the setup I found that the initrd-2.6.31.5-0.1 is not available. Question how to do the repair?
The general procedure is like this: Boot from any 11.2 CD/DVD you have (install DVD rescue mode, just fine). Drop to a terminal. mount /dev/XXX /mnt, mount /dev/YYY /mnt/boot (if you have a separate /boot) mount -o bind /dev /mnt/dev mount -o bind /proc /mnt/proc mount -o bind /sys /mnt/sys chroot /mnt mkinitrd check, exit, reboot. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
