That might be part of the problem? 195.36 is painfully old... current release nVidia proprietary drivers are up to 256.35 now. There have been major issues in the past with nVidia drivers not playing nice with KDE4.. I can't remember which specific versions though.
This is the highest version which exists in the Nvidia repo for OpenSUSE
True... but.. it's old and desperately needs to be updated. As I said.. 256.35 is the latest driver. Install it... see if your video problems are still there. I had significant graphical issues with KDE4 until I updated the vid drivers.
This is very strange. If openSUSE offers KDE4, should not it provide the drivers as well that KDE4 can work with?
Remember 11.3 has only been out for less than 2 weeks. The latest nvidia package is being worked on. It appears to work now for 64-bit. 32-bit doesn't install automatically yet. http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2010-07/msg00483.html Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
