I can use my wireless card configured manually. However, when I try to switch to the network manager I get the following error message from yast.
"No network running"
I have checked the system messages (F10) and see the following messages:
NetworkMananger: supplicant_interface_acquire: assertion 'mgr_state == NM_SUPPLICANT_MANAGER_STATE_IDLE' failed kernel: [1454.683069] iwl3945 0000:02:00.0: Failed to get channel info for channel 140 [0]
Do you get the icon in the system tray in KDE? If so, you must right click to get a menu. Then select the wireless access point that you want to connect to. Until you do this, there will indeed be no network running. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
