Guys,
There is a large bug in the net install. If you are using wireless, the only way it works is if your system has no security. When installing, you are never given the option to enter a wep key of configure wpa because the error from the dhcp failure covers the wep/wpa config dialog and there is no way to get it back unless you exit or back out to expert settings and then start the install over. That is the only way you ever get to enter your wireless credentials.
The wireless credential dialog should be displayed once the installer determines it will use a wireless connection and -- nothing -- should be allowed to cover the wireless conf until that dialog is dismissed. As it is, many with just give us assuming the opensuse install never provides an opportunity to enter wireless info...
The install hung/(or was working without indication) after it downloaded image 2, so I killed the update and started over. This time I DID get an option to enter the wpa information and we are plugging along with the update 2567 files with 7.62 gig to go. Changing 11.2 to 11.3 in most of the repositories worked. That's nice. Of course a 7 G download... I'll report back after work when it has the time to install (my guess ~ 15 hours) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
