With the other thread running at the moment, thought I would "retry" getting an answer to my ongoing problem with USB devices, which I have asked the question for before... Whenever I mount a USB device, I can NEVER unmount it.... (well, nearly never, very occasionally (1 in about 30) it seems to work) This includes, if I just select "open with dolphin", then immediately close the dolphin window (ie nothing is then using the disk - no other programs running), lsof shows nothng open on the device, I get a message when trying to unmount through device notifier, that "Cannot eject the disc. One of more files on this disc are open within an application." If I then immediately run umount /media/disk (or whatever), the device is successfully unmounted....? Have had this problem ever since (clean) installing 11.2, and through to the existing KDE 4.4.3. Used to work perfectly in 11.1. Running x64.
