I have a few networks on which I want to provide dhcp services. These are instrumentation networks for networked transducers. I am guessing I am just brain-dead this morning, but I can't see what I am doing wrong.
I have two networks, that are configured as follows:
inet 192.168.99.99/24 brd 192.168.99.255
inet 10.2.10.41/28 brd 10.2.10.47
So, I enter the following in my dhcpd.conf file:
You are giving a host addr as a subnet start. That won't work -- need to give net start, so...
That was it. Thanks. The config file does not support the /XX syntax. But the problem was as you pointed out. I wonder why I forgot this. Perhaps it is because I seldom set these up. I think it is because I do not use subnets in this context. I was too quick to change the oft used .0 at the end into a specific machine's address. Geesh. I'm back in business. Now to get a GigE Vision camera working. That is more fun. -- Roger Oberholtzer Ramböll RST/OPQ Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
