I did a fresh 11.2 install rather than upgrade 11.0, because cleaner. To figure out what was previously installed and ensure to install equivalents manually is some kind of painful process. So I opened YaST2 software management on 11.0 and did file export. Then I imported in 11.2. So, now I'm looking at a long list, mostly with red X's listed first, then with a shorter list marked to install. Is this the right procedure, or is there a better way? What do all the red X's actually mean? Help says "this package is already installed. delete it." Delete from where, the list, or the already installed version from the HD? This process is not intuitive. -- "Suppos [sic] a nation in some distant region, should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . .
