Hello List,
I will have to replace my car's GPS device soon. Could anyone recommend a brand/model that is linux-friendly (and current) ? By that I mean:
- maps can be updated from linux (or without a computer) - POIs can be uploaded and downloaded from linux

Hi The only thing I haven't been able to do on my Nuvi 260 is update firmware. I use crossover with mapsource (with a dosdevice softlink for usb connection to a drive) so I can upload either topo or drive maps, waypoints, POI's etc. gpsd and gpsbabel make it possible for any raw data requirements and conversion.
