we have several Infotec (ISC2428) and Ricoh (Aficio_2233C) colour laser printer-copiers in our office. The PPD files are used that are delivered with openSUSE 10.3 - 11.2, and the manufacturer PPD files were also tried. All print only page one with:
%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %% %% mark (lp) () (201003031438) {setuserinfo} stopped cleartomark
and 13 empty pages when i print a test page.
Only a guess: I assume your devices are actually real PostScript printers but you have changed their internal settings to be no longer real PostScript printers. For example via whatever emulation mode to behave e.g. as PCL printers or even as some kind of e.g. "IBM Proprinter" dot matrix printer emulation. This could also happen when you have disabled the printer's built-in document type autodetection (which lets the printer automatically switch into its PostScript processing mode when a document starts with "%!...") so that the printer may have a fixed setting to interpret each document e.g. as PCL or even as plain ASCII text.
