Useful piece of information, I could completely remove the task bar. However, in the lower right side of the task bar I have Kmail icon, which I need to access often. Is there another way to access Kmail, so that to remove completely the task bar?
Great idea, David! I've set up my bar s that it is NOT the full height of the screen. The controls are set so its CENTRED. Bogdan: Click on the 'peanut' to activate the controls, then 'more settings'. Next, choose 'centred'. Now those 'sliders' let you set the position and height of the toolbar. John Benett: I _could_ but don't set it to autohide etc. Click on the 'peanut' to activate the controls, then 'more settings'. You can then set 'auto hide' and/or 'windows can cover' -- "The creative person is willing to live with ambiguity.
