I have a number of computers on an NFS network at home. Most are running OpenSuse 11.0, several use Open Suse 11.2 Two of the these machines have no printer of their own, my laptop and one of my desktops. I'd like to configure CUPS to share the two printers on my old desktop - an HP-1220c large format printer and a Brother HL-5140 with those on the network. Unfortunately, when I try to understand how this works, all the documentation I find assumes I'm doing this with config files that I have to manually edit. Nothing seems to refer to the CUPS server I connect to at http://localhost:631. And when I try to look up some of the files they don't even exist on my machine. Is there a straigtforward guide to setting up CUPS in an opensuse 11.0 environment that I can follow? Recommendations would be appreciated. The CUPS version on my old desktop is 1.37. -- Bob Smits bob@rsmits.ca -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
