Hi all, My system runs: Linux Linux-A105 2.6.25.20-0.5-pae #1 SMP 2009-08-14 01:48:11 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux and something has gotten jammed in the updates and software management system. If I try to run the package manager, I get a complaint that says "Another process is accessing the package database. Package management cannot be used now" This, as you probably guessed, isn't true. My inference is that some lock file didn't get cleaned up a while back and should be manually deleted. Can anyone tell me what and where that lock file might be? Or perhaps what else I should do to release this? I'd like to install some new software, and am currently hamstrung. Cheers, Simon "You can tell whether a man is clever by his answers.
