I have a curious problem with 11.2. I dunno if it's a hardware problem or a distro problem. I got a free computer, found on the pavement... not so bad: 3.5Ghz, 512Mo ram, 80Gb HDD... work like a charm... at least seems to. installed 11.2 on it without any problem. wanted to give it to my daughter (200 miles away), the occasion being a visit. I have to use my daughter's monitor (15") At first start, starts... but no final display (the monitor LEDs blinks), probably excess frequency (my own monitor is a 20"), but no active mouse nor keyboard (no keyboard, so hard reset) at boot, key "1" and boot as init 1, good. startx same as before sax2 and sax2-vesa, display the proposal frame (blue, good fréquency, good shape), but still no keyboard nor mouse. the very same keyboard I used for the install... same with an other keyboard. Well, I bring back this beats to home this afternoon, but I wonder what can make such problem? same result with no /etc/X11/xorg.conf file or the xorg.conf.install file... on summary, I could fix the frequency problem, but not the keyboard work on console but not with X problem. When I installed 11.2, the keyboard works very well thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net. http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
