I get same problem since NVIDIA's driver 180.11.02.
That is, unitil 177.61.02, I didn't get such a problem.
Antway, which cards are you using?
I tested 3 cards;
VRAM Result
1. Quadra FX 560 128MB OK
2. Quadra FX 570 256MB NG
3. Quadra FX 580 512MB NG
With over 256MB VRAM, we might get the problem, I'm suspecting.
Lwe> I'm thinking it must be an issue with the X server on 11.1 and

Lwe> notice it?
I asked NVIDIA's developper, he said;
That said, it's possible, though unlikely, that the driver is simply
ignoring a rendering request from KDE. It's much more likely that
KDE is incorrectly expecting pixmaps it allocates to be cleared
automatically.
I've never used KDE. I'm using the pure enlightenment (e16) only.
But, he didn't reply at this point.
