And more particularly, has anyone got Slingbox or, as I said, the Halva, Hava ?? Which is the only other piece of hardware I've heard of.. in a quick aside, hence the guess at the spelling.. Back to the questions in some order that is useful, I hope. Has anyone got that type of hardware working w/ linux , generally and Suse in particular? If so where will I find the instructions please? If you get the hardware working ( I'm guessing it just might because most of it does but given this outfit, it's much better to have 1,2,3, instructions . It keeps the " I'm a hardware guy " types happy. ) Can you tell me what software I might need? & where to locate that ? The software could be tricky.. AND we are a 100% Suse shop.. we don't even have windows on the phones.. and no it's not the Iphone. I ran into trouble w/ my Archos, and the tech support person was incredulous that I didn't have a windows pc somewhere so I could get work done. And that was from a place that is also , at least so far and all Linux shop. The gal was trying to tell me I needed to find a friend w/ one so I could run a checkdisk after turning my unit into a brick. As incredulous , as she was there wasn't a windows box hiding in the back somewhere, she was stunned to hear that Linux has a check disk program.. This version of the Archos is a heavily tweaked locked down linux system.. the newest one looks like a pda, but apparently has a lot of Android in it. oh well, if anyone can help please.. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
