I checked the iso (as the other, earlier ones) for errors using md5sum and - again! - I get the error message that, "no properly formatted MD5 checksum lines found".
You are probably using the wrong command line options. For example, you may try:
md5sum issoimagefile.iso
which will churn away for a way, and finally print a single line of numbers which you manually (visually) compare with the checksum listed on the site somewhere.
According to 'man md5sum' I am using the correct command. I have also checked a while back that the application providing md5sum was not upgraded to a newer version which is why I am getting the result that there are no properly formatted lines found- but nothing has been upgraded. Nevertheless, I will at the first opportunity try out your suggested command line entry to check the iso files. But, but, you have to keep in mind that the Check Media in the oS CDs also come up and state that the checksum is wrong -- even k3b comes up with this error when I try and Verify the burning of the iso to the CD.
