If I had followed it, it would have worked in the > first shot. > I hope the search engines find *this* entry :-) Don't feel too bad; I've been down the same road myself a couple of times to end up at the "update-alternatives" solution; which controls the default MTA, Java version, PHP version, XUL version, FTP client, VI version, etc... A powerful little piece of the sys-admin toolbox.
