Ok here is what I did: Replaced the 2 lines for C and D with /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST9250827AS_5RG0CMC3-part2 /windows/D auto defaults
I went into a terminal and typed "su" to get into the root, and first tried to do a manual mount by typing mount -o remount /Windows/D It said mount: can't find /Windows/D in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
Then I changed it from upper case "Windows" to lower case "windows" and typed mount -o remount /windows/D and it said mount: you must specify the filesystem type
so I typed mount -a
Why? Heed the error message, please... Do "specify the filesystem type"! Meaning no "auto", but the real type.
and it said mount: you must specify the filesystem type
so I tried to go back to the previous way and type mount -a, but it still would not mount, so I went back to the line above as before, but instead made it capital Windows, as following /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST9250827AS_5RG0CMC3-part2 /Windows/D auto defaults
Please stop doing ramdom tries, and do what the error message says. Don't dance around! - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
