On openSUSE 11.1 (32-bit), digikam 0.9.4 (that's the KDE3 version) throws errors when I want to delete photos on my camera. My camera is a Canon IXUS 800, connected in PTP mode via USB.
On openSUSE 10.3, digikam 0.9.3 works fine in the same situation. I can delete all photos on the camera.
That is a known bug, if you open a bug we might check if we release an online update for it. (It is a known bug ;)
However you can already use an updated libgphoto2 package from my GPhoto repo which has this bug fixed:

Thanks a lot for the quick answer! I'll do both -- open a bug and try the updated package.
