Within hosts.deny how do you have your line define? I use it to block people trying to ssh to my by adding a line like this... sshd: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx You may have to do smtpd: xxxxxx.xxx.xxx I know you are using postfix and found the access file to me that is the best pratice to allow and deny access postfix. Hi all,

I am having some trouble with one IP, that is bugging one of my servers for almost a week now with virusses. I have been putting this IP in /etc/hosts.deny, but it is not blocked when connecting to postfix.

Why is this? Is it not possible to block traffic to port 25 this way?
