Hi!
Why ReiserFS over ext3 or ext4? Ext3 and ext4 support data journaling, ReiserFS doesn't. Seems to me much worse.
One of the design goals of reiserfs initially was to recover gracefully from a crash. Mmm... (Not related to above) read this, it will give you an idea of the problem, that not even data journalling solves, AFAIK: “Delayed allocation and the zero-length file problem” http://thunk.org/tytso/blog/2009/03/12/delayed-allocation-and-the-zero-lengt... “Don’t fear the fsync!” http://thunk.org/tytso/blog/2009/03/15/dont-fear-the-fsync/ Sp. #17. - -- Saludos Carlos E.R. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkoQapcACgkQtTMYHG2NR9VLoQCfbs7dSuzDkBqMziolByXG6X+T O40An1nMVCzGfNmdbJMi6U1xKEwtYkmq =KRB/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
