And then Johannes COMPLETELY misses the point.
I answered the question regarding the printing system in general in particular because there was already a misleading reply to use CUPS options which cannot work for brochure-printing. And there is never ever any reason for you to shout at me.
The point is that OpenOffice supports brochure printing and it works perfectly - I use it a lot. The problem is that you have to specify, for example, that you are printing an A5 portrait page in the page format, but are printing on A4 landscape in the printer settings - and the OpenSuSE tailored versions of OpenOffice have removed the option to specify paper orientation in the Printer Settings. Why?
Brochure printing works perfectly with "vanilla" OpenOffice. Brochure printing does not work at all with OpenSUSE OpenOffice. Why do SUSE/Novell remove Paper Orientation from Printer Settings when tailoring?
I can answer and do answer questions regarding the printing system (mainly CUPS and printer drivers) but I cannot answer questions regarding OpenOffice because I have nothing to do with OpenOffice.
