Is it possible to replace the X from 11.1 with the X from 11.0?
Why do you want to do this?
Something in 11.1 makes the ATI driver unusable
I don't think that's true but in saying it you gave me the answer to my Intel problem. An old rage 32Mb card works fine and much faster than the NoAccel intel. You have to unscrew the mounting bracket to get it into a Dell. A riva tnt works fine too. ebay has them for $10. I didn't know you could use cards with intel video.

If you still want to delve deeper into replacing X by building it yourself, you can start with:

It will provide a roadmap for you.
Thanks for thinking about me. Coincidentally, the bug was fixed in todays opensuse xorg update. The Intel driver now works correctly. L. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
