Where exactly is the problem? Didn't you understand yet how FOSS works?
It's not a regression since older versions (in fact it got better)...

The problem is that some think it is a must have and hence act according to
it. They are convinced that it is common sense that this feature/bug must be
implemented/fixed ASAP, because anything else would drive away users and make
that application completely useless. If you think within those lines, their
behaviour makes sense. If you apply the "code rules" or "offer a bounty or
implement it yourself" view, then it does not.

It all depends on your Weltanschauung.
