Has anyone else run into a situation like this and found a solution?
I have joined a corporate domain via this method in 11.0. I have not tried 11.1. Has this machine already tried to join the domain and perhaps failed? I think you cannot join the domain if a record for your machine exists. You must delete it on the AD server. Did you get any sort of error message? Are you sure a record for the machine that tried to join does not already exist - even as a machine that has not joined the AD. Have you set up the ntp client on the Linux machine to the same reference the AD uses? The time must be quite similar between the AD server and all clients. I know that there are command line utilities to simply query the AD. As a downside to my using YaST for this, I cannot help. But a google will surely list these diagnostic commands, Maybe they will give a clue. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O.
