Hi,
I received the message quoted below, I assume because my user is able
to receive system mail.
To my untrained eyes it looks like there is a new package called softwaremgmt
This new software update affects the following packages?:
yast2-pkg-bindings yast2-qt-pkg satsolver-tools zypper
yast2-ncurses-pkg libzypp
The message advises to 'restart before executing any further
operations.' and I wonder bar from a system reboot, how this could be
achieved and what exactly needs to be done? Is this necessary to apply
the patches or to start the update process?
I have checked our friend Google but the number of results even with a
search string of: softwaremgmt +"opensuse-users" -"[softwaremgmt]"
-"[compiz" still was scary.
Looking forward to a pointer or two.
Regards
Hylton
