Yesterday I ran the updates/download of the ... well ... updates. Now I'm trying to install a new KDM theme. The pop-up for file selection et al works but the selection isn't accepted and listed. This is for KDE4. Systemsettings is from kdebase4-workspace-4.1.3-148.2 There is no 'help' or 'about', but strings tells me: (c) 2005, Benjamin C. Meyer; (c) 2007, Canonical Ltd 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 63.2" ben+systempreferences@meyerhome.net This is /usr/bin/systemsettings -> advanced -> login manager -> (1) General (1) + used themed greeter + apply (3) theme + install new theme + file select + <file>.tar.gz + OK + apply Nothing gets added to the list. Even if I exit and try again, nothing gets added to the list. If I use the option to "install" from the "get new themes" at KDE-look.org they get marked as 'installed' but don't appear on the list either. This is the same where I run as a regular user + the KDESU or whether I run as root. My apologies, I wasn't tracking each and every update, but I know it must have worked once as I've got some past installs in the list. I'd also note that "get new themes" function is and has been for a while, gutted. If I visit KDM themes at KDE-look.org I see many pages of KDM themes, but this option button only shows a list of only a few dozen. Is this me and finger trouble or an I seeing a reportable bug? -- "Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been.
