This is probably the reason for the trouble: I suspect the overlong domainkey signature is wrongly broken down by Gmail, leading to an empty line that is normally the limiter between the header fields of the mail and the body part of the mail.
Please check if the body part contains headerfields that shouldn't be there, especially the "From:", "To:" and "Subject:" headers.
Could be, but gmail supports web, pop3, and imap. I read it with both web and imap. Don't see any problems. OP, can you tell us how you read your gmail account? And by which protocol?
