Hi, I'm about to buy a new workstation that will run 11.1 when it comes out in December. My typical applications are XEmacs, Eclipse, SeaMonkey, VMware, and lots of xterms; so I've got no big need for fancy 3D graphics. I'm considering to use Intel's GMA 3100 onboard graphics chipset and spare me an external graphics card. (Actually, more to reduce the heat and resulting fan noise than the costs.) But then I read in the announcement of 11.1 Beta 4 comments that some people have issues with that graphics chipset and look forward for improvements. So I come here to ask for some experience reports... ;-) Do you use that onboard graphics with SUSE 11.x? Do you have problems -- if yes, in which areas? Thanks in advance for any answer, Joachim -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Joachim Schrod Email: jschrod@acm.org Roedermark, Germany -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
