Hello Listmates,
I sent this e-mail earlier but it went unnoticed.
Has anyone else had problems with the adobe flashplayer plugin 9.0.124.0 for linux x86_64 ?
Mine is not working. :(
I totally agree.. multimedia in 11.0 / 64-bit is not FG.
Cheers,

Subject: mozilla flashplayer plugin broken Date: Friday 29 August 2008 From: Sampsa Riikonen
To: "opensuse+help" Dear List,
Have anyone else noticed the following problem with suse 11, 64-bit while watching flash videos from, say, youtube (happens with other webpages too..)?
The flashplayer (mozilla/firefox plugin) just shows a blank screen (i.e. the rectangle where the video should appear is just white/pink, nothing happens). Then when I am trying to access the flashplayer options, i.e. clicking with right mouse button on the blank screen, nothing happens either..
This seems to happen quite randomly.. a video I could see yesterday, I cannot access today.
My flashplayer version is 9.
If you're using KDE 4.0, then there ARE problems! I just finished today
Eh.. The flashplayer plugin for mozilla/firefox shouldn't have anything to do with the kde version, I suppose. And It's strange no one has commented of this problem before.. Flashplayer plugin 9.0.124.0-10.1-i586 for suse 11.0, 64-bit does not work!! (am I missing something here.. isn't that "i586" meaning it is 32-bit?). I don't care about flash animations (youtube is a waste of time), but my 60-years old mom's laptop with the latest suse 11.0 / kde4 is a mess. - The mixture of kde3 programs with the kde4 system (just an example: most programs pop-up kde3 kmail even you have configured everything for kde4) - the plugins (mplayer plugin, etc.) not able to handle .asx, etc. "strange" multimedia formats. Right now even flash does not work! - etc. Poor woman, have to reinstall her m$-windows. :( Cheers, Sampsa -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
