Yes.
There are lots of things that don't work with nvidia that I'm finding such as crashes and unstable screens when running openoffice. I doubt nvidia will do anything about it and the issues are only with kde4.

I have built in nvidia GeForce 6100 and no recent problems with login. The driver is: nvidia-gfxG01-kmp-default version 173.14.12_2.6.25.11_0.1-0.1 from repositories.
