I had this problem before and found out that skype is a 32 bit app. So if your running opensuse 11 x86 64, then you will have to install the 32 bit apps for skype to install and run.

I don't remember exactly, I believe this is one of the QT/DBus RPM's you need. Go into "Yast->Software->Software Management" and do a search for RPM's that provide that file.
